A Mile of Caranval

Camera: Canon SX 200IS
Location: Coral Gables, FL
Dates: May, 2010

I spent the day strolling up and down and all around the Carnaval on the Mile in Coral Gables. I restrained myself, and only walked away with a black and white photograph of 1960s Cuba. I was very proud that I didn't buy any scarves, jewelry, or books. (There's always next time). It was quite peaceful observing the scene through the lens of my camera with the smell of funnel cake wafting through the air.

I really need to make it to the next Carnaval on the Mile. Also, I wanna see your black and white Cuba photograph.

Great gutter shots! Finding beauty in the inane and mundane is basically my outlook on life. I really like these.

Thanks! I really want to take more of these, esp. urban shots. I'm a flora nut, so I'd like to take more beautifully mundane shots.
